Pressure treated wood is not to be painted with conventional paint.

Due to the type of preservatives used in treated wood, it is recommended that the wood first be preserved with a quality wood preservative.

Once treated and allowed to dry thoroughly the wood may then be colored with a good quality oil based stain.

The treating and stain should be done in cool weather.

Contact your local home/paint center for the best type of colored oil based stain for your area.
