This is the minimum standard for De Soto County.  This consists of a 5 foot by 5 foot deck with standard steps located at each entry and exit door.  For example, this house has two points of entry and exit.

This is an example of a custom deck that is 16 feet by 25 feet and contains a lattice privacy screen, two sets of standard steps with enclosed risers.  The set of steps in the picture are 8 feet wide.  The lattice on the bottom of the deck is strongly encouraged to keep children and pets safe from treated wood preservatives.  The railings add extra protection and attractiveness.  The privacy screen is 8 feet tall and 16 feet wide.
